Hit - safe and gentle on the ears
The listening bubble and building a language
Children with hearing loss have a shorter listening range than normal (known as the “listening bubble”). Hit can make this listening bubble bigger – both by capturing sounds from farther away than babies would otherwise be able to hear without hearing instruments, and by making speech sounds easier to hear.
Soft consonants like “s” and “f” are important sound elements when building language. By boosting these important high frequency sounds, Hit gives children a better chance of hearing the individual words that eventually will become part of their vocabulary.
FM – getting the whole story
Hit is one of the smallest instruments ever to offer an FM connection via a neat, clip-on receiver. This stays firmly in place so children can keep up no matter how noisy it gets.
The FM solution is simple: the teacher wears a microphone and transmitter, and the student wears a small FM receiver that can be clipped onto the hearing aid. The teacher’s voice can then be sent directly to the child’s ears. With the Amigo FM and the child’s hearing instruments, the child will have a better chance of keeping up, no matter how noisy it gets.
Safe and sound
As well as helping children blend in, Hit keeps them safe and sound. A tamper-resistant battery drawer keeps the battery out of reach of little, inquisitive fingers. And the volume control can be disabled to keep the volume stable all day long.
